Jumping into the mortgage world with his brother right after graduating from Cape Coral, FL high school, Joe tells how he used his financial propensity to skip the baby steps and leap into real estate finance and development. Starting his own company, Joe has provided over $660 million in commercial real estate loans nationwide, and developed $200+ million in multifamily, senior housing and other mixed-use projects in Florida. Joe Bonora is the founder and President of Catalyst Asset Management, Inc. and Catalyst Community Capital, Inc. He has over 20 years of experience in real estate finance and development, and is responsible for managing the strategic direction of the companies and identifying new real estate development and investment opportunities. Joe is particularly well-versed in government funding and tax credit programs and is well known for his ability to engineer complex capital structures and create innovative new ways to finance projects. He lives in St. Petersburg, FL with his wife and two children and believes in giving back to the community. Joe serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Lee County, the Central Florida Regional Housing Trust, and is a member of a number of community-focused organizations including the Urban Land Institute.
