Grant is a Certified Forensic Video Analyst and a contract instructor at the FBI National
Academy in Quantico, VA. He has testified over 300 times in courts throughout the US,
Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and in other parts of the world; many of his projects involve
the collection of visual intelligence during civil disturbance and riot events. As a consultant
for Major Crime and Joint Forces Operations involving video evidence, Grant has provided
technical assistance for high-profile investigations around the world. He was the Technical
Manager for a large-scale high-profile criminal investigation involving over 5,000 hours of
video evidence, directing the work of fifty forensic video analysts. He currently trains investigators on strategies and techniques for the accurate interpretation of video evidence, including tracking the movements of targets captured to proprietary digital video.
