Spoiler Synopsis: Running Wilde (with an E at the end) focuses on the son of the Wilde Oil empire, Steven Wilde (Will Arnett), as he struggles to find meaning in his life. At the same time, Steven’s old best friend and crush, Emmy Kadubic (Keri Russell), is sick and tired of living in the rainforest with her pre-teen daughter, Puddle (Stefania LaVie Owen). Steven and Emmy reunite at an award ceremony that Steven is throwing for himself. Despite being total opposites, Steven is a trust fund-obsessed party boy, and Emmy is an environmental activist and loving mother. Emmy and Puddle reluctantly agree to move in with Steven so that Puddle can attend a more traditional school and so Emmy can spend more time on activism and being a mother. Throughout the series, we watch as Steven tries to change for the better with the help of Emmy while also trying not to ultimately change his habits of partying and getting everything he wants in life. The series ends with the two seemingly getting together right before a cliffhanger ending of loud crashing interrupting their final moments together.
