What to do when you don’t experience God as you used to?

Ways to feel God close?

Repent if necessary.

  • Is there something in my life that has turned me away from God?
  • Adam where are you? God showed up where He always meet with Adam at the time he would meet with Adam but Adam wasn’t there. Adam was missing.

    • Recharge

    • Slow down and Be Still - Jesus would break away and be still with God (lady at the Bible Study group)
    • Create environment, Walk, beach, night sky, worship music (I miss my theme with you)
    • Am I overcommitted or overwhelmed? Story of Mary and Martha. Mary made time with God the priority.

      • Reconnect with other believers…

      • Matthew 18:20 (ESV): For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
      • Whatsoever things are lovely, things just think on these things.
      • Over 50 one another passages in the Bible (encourage one another, love one another, carry another burden, build up one another, instruct one another, confess sins to one another)
      • Forsake not the assembly of yourselves together
      • A Christian conference, revival, conference

        • Return to your First Love - Reignite your passion

        Draw Close to God…

        • James 4:8 (ESV): Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded
        • Peter said, where shall we Go you are the Holy One of Israel.
        • The discipline of Fasting - Abstain for some things to focus on God

          • Realize you may be in a test

          • Book of Job
          • “Teacher doesn’t talk during a test”

            • Remember what God Has Done for you and Others

            • We have a great cloud of witnesses (Heb 11)
