Today we are discussing five ways that we’ve seen Jesus characterized in modern Christian circles that aren’t quite right. Oftentimes, we try to change pieces of Him to fit pieces of us, instead of embracing that the whole of Him is intended to change the whole of who we are. From “Genie Jesus” to “Progressive Jesus,” these caricatures are ways in which we, as humans, seek to humanize Jesus - to shrink Him down to fit in a box, rather than sitting with the discomfort that we are limited in our capacity to understand Him fully.

We’re all about “relating” on this show - how we relate to ourselves, others, and the Lord - and this topic is an important one, because the way that we see the Lord dictates how we will relate to Him.
