Ep 6 - Your Quest Begins with Worldview

Listen Later

In this episode, Dr. Miller explores three analogies for understanding worldview. First, the Treasure Hunt analogy which helps us understand the relationship between our six worldview questions. Second, the Family Tree analogy which helps us understand the relationship between Naturalism and Supernaturalism. Third, the Orchestra analogy which helps us understand the three worldview tests used to find the treasure trove of joy, peace, and love.

SHOW NOTES

The Treasure Hunt Analogy helps us understand the relationship between our six worldview questions. The six key worldview questions are; How did I come into being? What is my purpose? What is right? How can I fulfill my purpose? How will my life be judged? What happens when I die? The six worldview questions are interconnected and span our past (WAS), present (IS), and future (WILL BE).

The Family Tree analogy helps us understand the relationship between Naturalism and Supernaturalism and how each gave birth to give a family of worldview ideas including atheism, agnosticism, Platonism, pantheism, theism, polytheism, and monotheism.

The Orchestra Analogy helps us understand the three worldview test; Coherence, Correspondence, and Practical.
