Eddy De Valck has worked as a Forensic Odontologist since 1979, having received his Master of Dental Sciences from Catholic University Leuven in 1977 and attended Belgium’s Ministry of Justice’s School for Criminology. He has participated as an expert in about 20 major disaster investigations since 1987 ( e.g. train, plane, and boat disasters; 2004 Tsunami in Phuket, 2014 MH 17, 2016 Brussels Terrorist attacks, 2021 Belgium Floodings), having served as Chief Forensic Odontologist on the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team for Federal Police Belgium since then, as well as with DVI services with Interpol.
