We are back with Episode 61. After taking a brief detour to reflect on a COVID Thanksgiving and how to successfully lose a PS3 to an ex, we discuss the whitewashing of U.S history. Thanksgiving provides a great opportunity to think about the incomplete history lessons we receive in school that often ignore how these holidays impacted people of color. While we recognize these holidays in some fashion, we often only think about them as times to be with family and overlook (willingly for some) true historical context. How have holidays changed for you as you’ve grown up and learned more? Do you feel any attachment to them outside of familial memories? Listen to the episode and share your thoughts on social media!
