Can you recall a time you sat in front of someone and asked them for help or needed them to do something for you and felt that pressure of having to know it all? Or has someone said, 'Why didn't you ask for help?' Or, 'What's stopping you?'
These examples of articulating what you're experiencing, being aware of blind spots, and what we need and from how....this is the skill of knowing oneself and being able to articulate it—self-reporting.
When you don't know it's a thing, self-reporting can feel really heavy and uncomfortable. When you know different you can experience it differently.
In this episode, I share one of my stories that inspires part of my passion for language in our every day. An experience of being aware of oneself is one thing. It's about how we describe that experience to others that blocks and unlocks what happens next.
I intended to share how this works in the business setting, but you'll giggle with me as I change the plan partway in the conversation. Instead, shifting the focus toward collecting examples of self-reports and what you can do with them now you know it's a thing.
Listen loosely,
