This interview is about a recent publication, authored by Dr. Stephanie Madden and her collaborators Dr. Kate Guastaferro of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies and Drs. Chris Skurka and Jessica Myrick, faculty members at the Bellisario College. The study was published in the Howard Journal of Communication and titled “When Home is Not Safe: Media Coverage and Issue Salience of Child Maltreatment during the COVID-19 Pandemic.” Dr. Madden also discusses the of power interdisciplinary work and how collaborations help remove the limitations of research
