Wesley J. Smith is a Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute's Center on Human Exceptionalism and a consultant for the Patient Rights Council. He has written many consumer rights books ( with Ralph Nader) and even more books criticizing the state of modern medicine and bioethics. His most recent book is Culture of Death: The Age of "Do Harm" Medicine.

Smith is a frequent contributor to The National Review. Also, his work has appeared in numerous other publications such as USA Today, The San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Times, to name a few.
