On Thursday, July 7, 1960, eight year old Graeme Thorne vanished without a trace while walking to meet his ride for school. His kidnapper called the Thorne family later that day to demand a ransom for Graeme's safe return. As the first kidnap for ransom case in Australian history, Graeme's disappearance, and subsequent murder, sent shock waves through the country and left many wondering, what kind of monster would take such an innocent child?
