In good news we heard of a young couple going on safari in South Africa who decided to treat the driver who delivered them to the safari, and they paid to take him with them. Then we celebrated all the winners of the apple pie-making contest at this year's Santa Cruz County Fair.

In the ag report we heard that cows at the Cotoni-Coast Dairy National Monument will be outfitted with solar powered collars that direct them away from humans. That will allow hikers on trails there to hike unmolested by the local cattle that live there.
