"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."
You have probably heard that before, right?
Sure, words don't physically hurt you in the way a stone might but they can still create the feeling of being hurt, sometimes worse than having a stone thrown at you!
Maybe it is an under-the-breath comment from a co-worker, a text from a friend, or direct feedback from your partner, they can feel like a kick to the gut.
But why?
What about the words makes them so painful?
How can you actually begin to use these words and comments for yourself instead of shutting down and using them against you?
I am breaking it all down in this episode.
Enjoy!
