Today we are sitting down with Danielle ([email protected]). For 27 years she has been a loving husband and father of two teens. Now at 49 she is newly discovering her gender identity presenting as female. In the  process she is discovering her own biases and judgments, enabling her to finally learn and love her true self. We talk: pronouns and name choices, transitioning while in a 27 year long marriage, talking to her children about expressing her female side, the most challenging aspects throughout her transition, advice for those who are going through a similar situation, and misconceptions about transitioning that need to be corrected. 

It has been such a pleasure to watch Danielle come into her own and we are so proud of the progress she has made / continues to make - they grow up so fast!
