Autistic people tend to learn and communicate explicitly, unlike neurotypical people who often use implied communication. This difference in communication can lead to some very difficult situations. As an autistic person, I do my best to puzzle out what a person is trying to say, when they aren't actually coming out and saying it. It's exhausting. Do you think it would be better if people just say (kindly) what they mean?
