The example we use in this podcast, is that during this pandemic, the top 20 richest people in Canada have increased their net-worth by over $30 Billion Dollars. If that seems unfair, it’s because it was designed by the writer of the article to feel that way. We unpack the tactics that are at play here and explain how they are purposefully presenting this statistic in a way that fuels controversy. The goal of doing this is to promote critical thinking and explain how you can put together a solid argument instead of using these scare tactics.
