Here are just a few of my takeaways on courtship after marriage… may your courtship never end!

  1. It’s the little things that make a big difference – what you say to your spouse and how you say it
  2. You can end up marrying the wrong person, but treat them right and you end up with the right person.
  3. More important than marrying the right person is BEING the right person.
  4. There are going to be difficulties along the way, but most can be overcome… you can have everything in life that you want, when you help others get what they want (but NOT so THEY can do something for you).
  5. Make your mate #1 with you, and they may make you #1 with them.
  6. When YOU GIVE MORE to the relationship, you are going to be the biggest winner of all.
  7. Keep the big things in perspective, don’t focus on the small stuff that annoys you.
  8. #1 reason for decline in productivity at work is marital difficulties at home – improve your marriage and everything improves.
  9. Invest in things that will improve your marriage, it will improve everything else in your life.
  10. The most important thing we can do for our children is to love their father/mother.
