Excerpt from today's episode:

"The first thing that you want to know is, most people think that the word vaccine means protection, that when you say, Are you vaccinated, what you mean is are you protected? But I want you to know that vaccine does not mean protected. vaccine means a drug, it's just a drug. So when you say, Are you vaccinated? What you mean is have you taken this particular drug? And when you say it that way, it decouples the word vaccine from what people think of, are you protected? Because if it actually means are you protected, then everybody would say, of course, I want to be protected. Of course, I'm going to be protected. Of course, I want to be protected.

Every drug has to go through a very rigorous and long-term period of testing, every single drug, and drug do or they don't get approved. And when they go through a long period of testing on many different kinds of people, then the drug manufacturers and the scientists figure out whether it's safe or not, or whether it's safe enough or not, like safe enough means if it helps a million people but kills 20 people, then that's safe enough, that's a good drug, if it helps a million people and cures a big disease, but it makes 1000 people sick. That's good enough, I'm not being sarcastic. That's what the side effects are. When you take a drug, it has a certain positive thing that it does. But you know that it has side effects. So it does negative things as well. And as long as the negative things aren't too bad, or if they're bad, as long as they don't happen too often, then the drug is approved."
