Early mornings in the dead of the northern Nevada winter, getting ready to go to work and earn those "$5" dollars. Thats how I remember spending some of my weekends growing up in my mexican household. Now as an I adult it brings the questions. What fortune do I have now that I'm a citizen? How did those days working shape me? Even with little opportunities and resources how did we make it? These are things and questions that still to this day are still being asked an observed by my community as well as other communities dealing with the day to day struggle of working as illegals.
