A news was published recently in one of the digital media platform about a discriminatory proposal which required family consent and recommendation from the ward office for female under 40 travelling abroad. This was followed up by an audio clip published by another media house interviewing the director of department of immigration confirming the proposal. 

I have invited Nishma Choudhary, a prominent media-person, and Rastra Timalsena, Advocate/Lecturer/Youtuber, in this episode of 'Mero Sero Fero' to get their thought on this news and reflect on how this depicts the mindset of our society. We discuss their initial reaction to the news, what led to the thinking behind this proposal and what can we do as a member of the same society.
