Ep. 7 – Planned Obsolescence

Listen Later

We are going to be talking about technology obsolescence. Are things pushed into premature obsolescence or does technology just move that fast? Does technology have a shelf-life? We will also discuss the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 and some of its groundbreaking achievements, plus Zoom’s stance on their new end-to-end encryption offering. That revelation may be a bit shocking. I also appeared as a guest on a podcast episode of The Shed that will mention briefly where we discussed YouTube, censorship, and social media. Ian will teach us how to cook Chicken Biryani–a dish near and dear to my heart from when I lived in the Middle East. Then we will touch on two new great pieces of software designed to make your personal confuser easier to use: a brightness controller for a secondary monitor on Mac and a new privacy-focused link shortener.
