Do you find it difficult to remain present? This being "lost in thought" is an invisible addiction developed in early childhood as a way to escape events we had no control over. It is an instinctual tactic of survival, occurring through an innate need to attach to this world through relationships. Rather than remain present with the body's emotions, we escape - through the mind - to another place and time. In adulthood, it begins to manifest as more tangible addictions. In this seventh installment of Songstress Stories - Cassie tells of her experience in discovering the root of addiction(s), how it blocks the flow of chi within the throat chakra resulting in a lack of remaining authentic to our core values and what we can do about.
