Proverbs 18:21 says, "Life and Death are in the power of the tongue.  They that love it (love  repeatedly speaking certain things), shall EAT the FRUIT thereof.  Wow, so this scripture is literally saying we have the power to build or to tear down our lives by the things we say.  In other words, our spoken words when motivated by our heart's energy/faith will produce what we desire be it good or bad.  Like planting a seed in the soil and consistently watering it, in due season the harvest will appear.  So remember as the old saying goes, "Say (only) what  you mean and mean (through faith) what you say", because your WORDS have power!
