This particular adaptation begins in a modern-day Kansas, where Dorothy dreams of becoming a big star by joining the Muppets Tour. When the tornado drops Dorothy in Oz, she finds herself in a land entirely inhabited by Muppets - even her pet king prawn, Toto, is a Muppet now! Dorothy then follows the Yellow Brick Road to the Wizard to ask him to make her a star. We discuss the modernized setting, the combination of the Munchkins and the field mice, the Wizard's disguises, the embracing of Oz's theatricality, the fun reimagining of the Kalidahs, and much more!
