While these won't be the thoughts that every athlete wrestles with, nor are they the challenges Grant encounters every meet, no competition will be the same. The best performers can adapt to the situations in which they are given. We hope that "check-ins" like these empower athletes, coaches, and any listener to be willing to be more vulnerable with themselves, their peers, and coaches to help further your understanding of internal athlete dynamics to better prepare for greater performances and life events.
Understanding ourselves better will allow us to perform at a greater level not deter from it.
