In the last two days, three bodies have been recovered from Houston bayous. Police have reported at least a dozen people found dead in Houston bayous this year alone.

Jelani Day was reported missing in late August, and police found his body in an Illinois river near his abandoned vehicle on September 4.

Officials identified Day's body through dental records on September 23, and his death has raised questions about why it took so long.
