On the tenth day of the Kurukshetra war, Arjuna, guided by Krishna, confronts Bhishma with Sikhandin leading the charge. Adhering to his vow, Bhishma refuses to fight Sikhandin and is struck down by Arjuna’s arrows. Falling on a bed of arrows, Bhishma remains alive, awaiting the auspicious Uttarayana to depart.
