A few hours before this interview, Imam Tariq spoke alongside Rabbi Michael at a Chicago Press Conference, at Federal Plaza, calling for an end to Gun Violence. The two talk about some of the longstanding problems plaguing communities of color in Chicago (and the nation): violence, economic disinvestment, police brutality, and more. They also talk about the impact of faith communities on these problems and the importance of building relationships with elected officials.
