This Thanksgiving we are all grateful for many things, but sometimes our past pains and emotional wounds can keep us from being in a fully gratuitous presence. In this episode I want to offer a quick point about how we can be more at peace with our families, and situations around us, when we positively invest in our past wounding and painful emotions.
When we have deep wounding, we often hold grudges towards others as a defence mechanism to protect ourselves from further pain. BUT, the way to be without pain, and to ultimately heal these painful emotions/memories that we hold, is by getting curious about why they are there - and still very much alive.
Become aware of your triggers - become aware of the things that bother or hurt you when interacting with others or hearing about a situation/piece of newsd. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable within YOU, and create a space for you to be compassionate to yourself, while allowing your healing process to happen.
In this episode, we talk about:
1. What happens when we hold onto our feelings (disregarding our pain from the past)
2. Freedom Peace Joy = acceptance and movement with our feelings
3. What are the painful memories that still affect you to today?
4. Clearing "stuff" out
5. A key to happiness is cleaning out your Heart
6. Restricting our TRUTH
7. The classic: getting comfortable with our uncomfortable
Hope this is helpful! Here's To YOU, and Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating!
