After releasing his project, "Rooftops" Jay Deru has become a regular name around the Southwest Florida music scene. We get to hear his music process, his start as a poet, and how he went from bumping the latest Backhouse tracks in middle school to getting offers for features with some of the biggest names in local hip hop.
