Douglas had a very troubled youth. At the age of 13, cutting became his relief from suffering. He soon added the alluring world of drugs for relief, and that gave him a form of courage that felt good. Then, while at a treatment center for his various addictions, he had a realization about thought and who he really is. Douglas saw that underneath the facade and layers we create, the soft, pure light of unconditional love is always there. With this new understanding of the 3 Principles, he now works to help others see who they really are behind the facade.
