What does health and wellness really mean? This has been a fascination of mine ever since studying science in university and eventually working as an emergency room unit clerk. In this podcast episode I share my personal experiences and what has set in motion my exploration of holistic medicine. This is a nuanced conversation that explores my personal stories and what I learned through observation over the years. I talk about my science studies and early desire to becoming a physician. I share about the book I discovered at that time that opened my mind to how the influence of chemicals in our lives has affected our water, food, products etc And I share about my observations of working in the medical field for many years in the emergency room, the lessons I learned and the impact that time of my life had on me and my passion for wellness. I also talk about the fear that has permeated our society over the last two years and my hopes for a pivotal movement towards a balanced way of living, connecting back to nature and looking at health with a holistic perspective. The main theme of this episode is this notion of looking at the root, when we can start to shift things at the root and consider the whole person - body, mind, spirit and emotions. I acknowledge that the past two years have been difficult and presented complexities in our way forward, and I hope you see this conversation as a way to look forward and start to ask the questions underneath, at the root, to find a new way of being and hope for a balanced and harmonious way for us all - which puts nature at the forefront of our sacred connection, as we are nature. Finally I discuss the importance of water and my year of focus on water, the magical and the sacred being that is water - and how that to me will bring us ever more back to harmony.
Sending you all moon blessings and love vibration, I would love to hear from you and always open to dialogue on any topic presented.
Watch out for my next full moon meditation for the full moon in Cancer.
