This pandemic, in addition to our health concerns, has brought the issue of work (or lack thereof) and our means to earn a living, front and centre. In this episode, we discuss the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), which started Monday, April 6th, 2020, as a temporary measure to provide funds for individuals and families while helping to shore up the economy until the next new normal. This is a plan that had to come about quickly – and so it’s no surprise that it’s not perfect and now seems merely a start.
