Anthony trained at the London School of Contemporary Dance, later joining the company as both performer and choreographer.

His theatre credits include:- Mamma Mia! (Dora Mavor Moore award and Helpman award nomination), Sister Act (Olivier Award Nomination), Side Show (Broadway, Helen Hayes Nomination) Hair (Olivier award nomination), Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Song and Dance (Green Room award), Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (Olivier award nomination, Dramalogue award), Jesus Christ Superstar, Whistle Down the Wind and Bombay Dreams (Tony award nomination). Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods and A Little Night Music, Leonard Bernstein’s Candide (Olivier award Best Musical).

His film work includes:- Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Beauty and the Beast Mamma Mia!, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, The Sex Pistols’ Great Rock and Roll Swindle, Never Say Never Again, Excalibur, Hope and Glory, Jesus Christ Superstar (Emmy award) & Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

In 1999 he was awarded the MBE for services to Dance.
