The Slow 4.0 Challenge

Ep. 8: Aaron 2 - Minimal Notetaking, Always Question in Lectures

Listen Later

I'm on a mission to crack the code of university success. My challenge? Nailing that sweet 4.0 GPA without sacrificing my precious weekends. Oh, and one more thing—I'm determined to be less busy than the average student. But I can't do it alone, that's why I'm here to chat with students from some of Canada's top universities to uncover their secrets to academic greatness while still having time to hang out with friends, and do fun stuff. Because let's be real, university should adapt to fit our lives, not the other way around. So, without further ado, let's dive into the conversation and discover how to be a student without losing our sanity—or our weekends!

Aaron is a 4th year student at the university of Toronto majoring in math, but you probably wouldn't be able to tell. He's on his second software developer internship. We talk about his approach to studying without taking many notes, how he asks himself questions during lecture, and the importance of being enthuiastic in interviews. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
