Meri and Mina may be different at many aspects but we are also similar in some levels. One striking similarity is our rocky relationship with one of our parents.
Fun fact: we have both either walked out or been kicked out from the family home.
Growing up, we all have rebelled against our parents in some ways or other, especially in an immigrant family where the values that we are exposed to inside and outside the house constantly clash.
This episode is about our complicated relationship with the parent whose values we rejected and the friction that followed. It’s also about our struggle with mental health as a result of it and how we are still “work in progress” when it comes to forgiving and mending broken bonds.
