Elaine Cortez [R] is a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 62. She assumed office on January 1, 2025.

Cortez was born in Roswell, New Mexico. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of the Southwest in 2006, a graduate degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 2012, and a doctorate from the University of the Southwest. Her career experience includes working as a business owner and professor. She is a member of King's Gate Church.
