For Episode 8, my guest is Corey Moen, Senior Brand designer at Webflow and Digital Lead at Shapemaker studio. In todayโs episode we talk about failing to communicate with clients effectively, failing to get buy in from your team, failing to do website checks before hitting launch projects.
As we see from this episode, even at Coreyโs level, he is not perfect. I find it humbling that despite having worked with clients for over a decade, he is still trying to work out how to communicate as effectively as possible with clients, manage his time well and get buy in from his team.
I think the lesson from this is that even when you are so good at Webflow that Webflow wants to hire you, failures and mistakes still happen. You are constantly learning from these failures and from this, you grow and develop. So, instead of beating yourself up when failures happen, ask yourself what can you learn from them just like Corey has.
