Kingi Snelgar (Ngāpuhi, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Whakaue, Te Whakatōhea) isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill lawyer. The product of the Māori renaissance of the 70’s and 80’s, he is applying Māori life experience to affect real change in the New Zealand legal space – and he’s not alone.
