Recently we spoke with Laura Behrens Wu, co-founder of Shippo. Shippo is awesome company out of San Francisco that has created an API for developers and online business owners to access the shipping industry with less headaches. Their API works with ecommerce platforms to provide the most reliable delivery options for customers. They do this by plugging into hundreds of regional and national shipping companies and carriers.

Shippo is the Stripe for shipping which resonates strongly with the ecommerce platforms and the developer community which have spent decades dealing with the back end logistics problems and confusions that companies face when trying to pick a shipping solution for their website. It's a complete nightmare trying to pick the right carrier for each situation and then you have to have accounts setup with all of them and deal with different customer service departments when the package doesn't arrive...Shippo solves all of those problems.
