In this episode of the Fairy Whispering Podcast, I have the pleasure of chatting with Anastasia, host of the Goblin Kwain podcast (and my co-host on What the Fairy? Podcast). Together, we explore the magical realms of the paranormal and share our experiences with faerie folk and otherworldly beings. Anastasia recounts her spooky childhood encounter with the ghostly figure of a melancholy man, who was lurking in a storm drain, sparking her fascination with the supernatural. 

As we examine the significance of liminal spaces, she discusses how her interactions with the spirit world have shaped her understanding of the unseen. An encounter with an elderly man playing the fiddle at midnight on church steps, near a fairy ring of mushrooms, left her questioning whether she had glimpsed beyond the veil once more. We consider whether he could have been human, faerie, or something in between. 

We also talk about the importance of leaving offerings for the faeries and the delightful experience Anastasia had during Lughnasadh, when she felt an acknowledgement from the spirit realm through the sound of church bells. Anastasia shares her dream encounter with a hostile winged faerie and a friendly blobfish-like creature, which gave her a new perspective on the faerie realm.
