John played 17 games for Richmond from 1962-1966.
His father is the famous Maurie Sheahan, Richmond's fullback of the 1932 and 1934 Premierships.
Plus, in Rd 3 1965 John came off the ground in the 3rd quarter which allowed Kevin Bartlett to come on for his first game of League Football
