Reaching for your dream and being told flat out that you are not good enough, or that you should find a different career can be demoralizing. It can make a person think that what those other people are saying is true. This wasn’t the case for Sheral DeVaughn. I’m excited for you to hear her amazing story today and the trials and tribulations she beat to get where she is today with the success she has had in Radio.
With many impressive roles, Sheral DeVaughn has made a huge impact in her community and has helped a lot of people feel like they can be their authentic selves. Sheral is a Communication Strategist and she is the CEO, Founder, and Director of Speaking With Sher. She is also a radio host, Best Selling Author, and Podcast host of her podcast Cocktails and Conspiracies. Sheral usually spends her free time with her family and is an Ultra Kayak Racer.
Pursuing a career in a relatively male-dominated industry Sheral knew exactly what to expect from others. Sheral and Jeff both speak about the people that we put in our lives not by mistake but on purpose. This episode is full of life lessons, and examples of what we may experience at some point in our lives. Sheral addresses why she never let someone tell her she wasn’t good enough and how she turned that into motivation to work harder to be able to help others have a voice.
