Sports events are entertainment — but they’re more than that for this region. On this edition of The Landscape, Crain's reporter Joe Scalzo moderated a sports forum featuring Len Komoroski, CEO of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and Rock Entertainment Group, and David Gilbert, president and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and Destination Cleveland. The conversation centered around what the success of the 2022 NBA-All Star Game in February meant for the region with regard to revenue generated by those who attended and the opportunities it created, in particular for minority- and women-owned businesses. They also discussed how the event showcased Cleveland for fans around the world.
