As someone who has followed Miley Cyrus since she was on Hannah Montana, I was excited when I heard she was shifting into a more rock-influenced sound. However, do not let that discourage you from checking this album out. Plastic Hearts has pop-punk, 80's synth-pop, and darker rock elements that make for a versatile yet cohesive album.
