EP. 9 - Self-Care During the Holidays

The holidays. They're wonderful in so many ways (I LOVE Christmas!) - and they can also be stressful. They can be a time when everyone else's needs get put ahead of your own - which is exactly why I wanted to do this episode. 

We'll cover three ways you can practice self-care this holiday season. I promise, they have nothing to do with food, alcohol, or exercise! Instead, they are especially for women - and even more so for us perfectionists and overachievers. You'll walk away knowing how to:

  • Put yourself on the list and fulfill your needs during the holidays,
  • Set boundaries and stand up for yourself against annoying, angering, or even hurtful comments from family members (like what do you say when ANOTHER aunt asks when you are finally going to have kids?!?),
  • Allow yourself to feel all the feelings that come up for you - and the unexpected moment that made me emotional while recording the podcast,
  • Let go of perfect and embrace presence - this one has made hosting SO MUCH more enjoyable for me!
