Cold open – D. Martyn Lloyd Jones
So much to get to in this episode. Most importantly we want to talk about the authority of God’s word as you preached on Sunday and cover some issues that you brought up—issues that some people might take exception with.
Then we have a few more updates to praise God for concerning the new presidential administration—most notably rights of the unborn babies made in God’s image.
First Point of discussion: Why are we so passionate about the authority of God’s word?
Second Point of discussion: You mentioned some blind spot areas for many believers. Some of these certainly touched a nerve. Why do you feel it is important to touch on these items?
In this day and age where everyone seems to be bought out—you know “shepherd’s for sale”—why do you risk numbers for what you believe is vital?
Was Soren Kirkegaard correct that we are all “scheming swindlers?”
The proper use of historical (as opposed to biblical) creeds and confessions.
What about the argument from someone who says, “well, we have creeds in the Bible, so why can’t we have our own creeds today?”
Third Point of discussion: Ok, shifting gears, all those believers who voted for Trump continue to be vindicated, as many positive actions are underway. Cyrus over Satan!
Inquisition: What can a young man or young woman do to prepare for marriage prior to being engaged?
