Listen Later

If you've ever questioned the existence of God and required proof, there are people walking this Earth who have been transported to hell and physically, spiritually, mentally, and financially.  Some never make it back, but for some, divine intervention plays a part in giving them a second chance.     Max Nijst is an author, speaker, coach, and founder of Fearless Happyness and host of the Fearless Happyness Podcast. He is a proud husband, father, and grandfather and resides in Fallbrook, California with his family.    Since 2003, Max has been clean, sober, and an advocate of mental health and drug addiction recovery.     After joining the Navy and getting divorced, he found himself in a downward spiral of partying and drug use. After getting a felony possession charge and spending time in jail, he changed his life with the help of his sponsor and his friends.   Max learned to be grateful and to help others and now works in the field of addiction to give back. Max believes that everything happens for a reason and that his recovery was due to divine intervention. What You'll Learn

Favorite Quote:

"I kept making promises to my Mom. I'd tell her I would get better, get a job, and I would find the kids so she could be a grandma again. Then she asked me, "What are you going to do?" I said, "I don't know."  In that moment she believed me and for the first time, I saw in her face a look that there is hope."

How To Get Involved:

Addicted to Winning connects listeners through stories that prove why mindset matters. Jeff Brekken was working a 60-hour week on his family’s farm by the time he was 10. When he wasn’t helping with the harvest, he was at the hockey rink. Jeff’s early life experiences taught him he needs to be either all-in or all-out. In 2000 he started a single-family home construction business and by 2008 he was looking for the next big thing. Jeff founded the Blue Sky Benefit Solutions & Rise Above HR/ Recruiting on top of a lifelong passion for helping people. Through this show, Jeff will take that passion one step further.
