John Hughes attempted a rebirth of sorts with his 1988 dramedy “She’s Having a Baby,” starring
Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth McGovern, and Alec Baldwin. Focusing on 20-somethings for the first
time, Hughes’s labor of love struggled to find an audience. Now that we’re older and wiser,
were late-80’s audiences right? Does the movie suffer or benefit from its ‘baby-centric’ title?
